Placer drilling and drill-program consulting
Test the ground properly—using our drill or yours.
West Coast Placer plans and runs placer drill programs from the first hole through the final report. Choose a complete drilling package with our equipment and crew, or bring your own drill and hire us to provide the procedures, field management, sample processing and reporting.

Built around the decision
A drill hole is only useful when the sample can be trusted.
Placer drilling must recover and document material from surface to bedrock without mixing intervals or losing the fine gold the program is meant to measure. We build the drilling, logging and processing procedures around that requirement. The goal is not simply to put holes in the ground—it is to produce results you can use to compare targets and plan the next stage.
How the work moves
A clear path from the first question to the final record.
- 01
Plan the holes
Review access, target depths, previous work and the decisions the program must support.
- 02
Drill and log
Track every interval, material change, recovery issue and bedrock contact using consistent field records.
- 03
Process the samples
Measure and concentrate samples using a repeatable procedure designed for placer material.
- 04
Report the results
Deliver drill logs, maps, sample results, limitations and practical recommendations in a clear report.

Typical deliverables
What you receive.

- Hole locations and GPS records
- Drill logs and bedrock depths
- Interval-by-interval sample records
- Sample processing and visible-gold observations
- Maps, sections and a written report
- Assessment-report support where applicable
Common questions
Before the work begins.
Can WCP manage a drill that I provide?
Yes. WCP offers drill-program consulting for clients who provide the drill. We can supply procedural guidance, crew training, program management, logging systems, sample processing, mapping and reporting.
Can WCP provide the entire drilling package?
Yes. We can provide the drill, compressor, crew, field systems, sample processing and reporting as one complete program.
Does drilling confirm gold grade?
Drilling provides physical samples, but the usefulness of any grade estimate depends on recovery, interval control, sample volume, processing and the natural variability of placer gold. We document the procedure and limitations clearly.
What do you need to quote a program?
Send the claim location, access information, expected depth, known ground conditions, previous results, available equipment and the question the drilling needs to answer.
